Parental controls are restricting apps that are on the always allowed list
I don’t know if this started as a result of an update, but my child’s iPad is now restricting apps during downtime that I’ve put on the Always Allowed list.
It’s also allowing apps I haven’t put on the list (some of which might have to be always allowed, I’m not sure) - specifically, Safari, Home, Clock, Settings, and Find iPhone. None of the apps I’ve put on my Always Allowed list are accessible during downtime.
I don’t know where to begin trying to fix this. The device is running iOS 12.5.7, which was the last update available for some time now, but this is a recent issue. The Always Allowed list looks the same on both the iPad and on my device, but Screen Time just seems to be ignoring the settings.
