Menus and System Settings not clickable Tahoe 26

I use a MacBook Pro hooked to an external monitor and an external Apple keyboard - I also use a Wacom tablet.

After the update, I can click into System Settings, and I can also click around top-level items, but on subsequent menus, I cannot click anything.

For instance, I cannot access: General>About or General>Software Update

I can understand if there's something wrong with Wacom, but these items also cannot be reached by keyboard navigation.

I can navigate to "About" but cannot open it.

The only way to activate lower menus is to physically open my laptop and use the trackpad there.

Just realized keyboard input takes space key rather than return to activate a selection.
