“This apple account is not active” What can I do?

Hello! Recently, I’ve found my old iPad 2 on iOS 9.3.5. I booted it up, it still works, and I took all the pictures and stuff off, and I tried to Reset and sign out of everything, but it says “This Apple account is not active.” And it wont let me reset it. I need to reset it ASAP. It requires me to enter my Apple ID password, and I did exactly that. Then it said “This Apple Account is not active”. I need help, please and thank you.
