Sidebar not moving in Apple Mail's portrait mode on iOS 26

When I’m in portrait mode in the mail app in iOS 26 the sidebar can’t be moved out of the way. How do I sew the email in full screen?

I believe it is no longer possible to do that. If you are sufficiently motivated, tell Apple you don't like it.
