Can’t stop dropping pins when scrolling in maps!

I have big fingers, but not sausage fingers, I don’t hammer my screen when try to tap or scroll, and I’ve been an iPhone user since 3Gs, currently on 15+ with latest 18.6.2. I scroll maps on hybrid view and end up dropping pins accidentally & have to stop & delete, am I the only one? I’ve found no old help requests so far, & I feel like the Lone Ranger, so hiho Trigger, we’re off to find some answers. Anyone else experience this? It’s mildly infuriating to point that I’d be willing to turn off pin feature turn on when I needed it, drop a pin, and then back off, but that doesn’t seem to be possible. Any ideas? Any and all suggestions are appreciated!
