iOS 26 and tvOS 26 Movie Cover in French

I just updated to OS26 on all my devices and it doesn’t matter what Apple ID in my household or device a huge amount of movie covers in Apple TV app are in French. Hope it is just a bug, but anyone else having this issue?

What is your country or country-like region (for your Apple Account)? Does this country have a significant French-speaking part of the population? Then it might be intentionally.

The movie artwork is supplied by the same studios as the movie, per country or region. Apple just specifies that they want 24×36 posters (again, after an all 16:9 period).

You can submit your feedback comments, and then Apple may be able to relay any concerns to the studios.

Please submit feedback to Apple -> Feedback - Apple TV App - Apple. Some of mine are in French and some have no titles at all when I click on details. Others are not even the movie in the image. F1 comes up as and plays as Ex Machina and Ex Machina is Elvis … and so on. The odd few are correct,

Are you in Canada? French is spoken here but mainly in eastern Canada in Quebec. The majority of us speak English Nationwide.

This is the movie Contagion on my iPad. No title.

I submitted my feedback as well. I see my iPad mini is the same way with the French. I just tested deleting the app and reinstalling from the App Store and this did not fix it. However I’ve not yet updated the mini again to iPadOS 26.0.1 My audio issues got fixed! That was really bad. I’m more annoyed I lost my aerial screensavers. It’s taking forever to acquire new ones.

Exact same issue, I’ve been talking with support over phone/email about it. No trouble shooting has worked, and I’ve been told it’s been escalated to engineers and that’s all I can do.

It’s really really annoying. This needs to be fixed asap, especially since they took away the title of the film underneath the tiles that they used to have so literally the only way to tell what movie it is is from the posters.
