MacOS Tahoe Music Shuffle starts with the same first song

Hi all. With previous MacOS versions, I could go to the "Albums" view and select shuffle and music would start with a random song from a random album, the would continue to shuffle all songs from all albums. For the most part, this process still works, but it in Tahoe shuffle always plays the same first song from the same first (alphabetical) artist/album, then it will randomly shuffle all songs from all albums.

Anyone else notice this? If so, were you able to fix it?

Other than that, I like the new OS on all my devices.

Thank you.

I have the same issue. Setting the Shuffle by setting to by albums does not work. Hitting the Shuffle button anywhere always shuffles by track not album. Also Shuffle often mysteriously turns off by itself. In addition hitting Play in a playlist does sort of respect the shuffle by album, but it is not random. It always starts with the same track. It does not 'shuffle'.

In addition to the shuffle issue, the display of the history and the queue is annoying in the Miniplayer view. You can no longer hide the History to see what is coming up next, you have to scroll down. The behavior of the queue has likewise changed in a frustrating way. Prior if you were playing a Playlist, the queue for the Playlist automatically updated. This does not seem to happen anymore. Finally, if there is only one track left in a given queue, you can not fast forward to skip the track to go to an empty queue.

It is not clear what the benefits of the changes made to the Music app in Tahoe are. Usability has certainly suffered from them.
