Keep Apple Music control bar visible when app is mimised

Apple Music now has a task bar of its own displaying at the bottom of the screen and it looks great, it also looks like it should be able to be visible even when the rest of the app is minimised, however I cannot see anything that will allow me to get this feature working. Is it not meant to, is there a way of separating the panel so that it stays on screen even when the rest of the app is minimised?
