My Apple Watch Ultra watch face displays old address as home

My Watch Ultra displays my old address as home though it is nowhere to be found and when I say nowhere, I mean it. I checked every apple app and setting. Watch has been reset multiple times.

In these times of privacy, or lack thereof it seems odd that I can't simply change this and there are some "hidden" places where this gets retained. Checked even the icloud.com settings on web...

All data for Apple Watch mirrors the paired iPhone as source. Check in the corresponding places in your iPhone. Somewhere there is an entry with your old address, it might be in Contacts, Maps, Apple Pay delivery addresses and cards set up in Wallet, Apple Account (ID) settings, …. And those are just the ones I remember from when I had a similar problem after moving home so don’t be surprised if I missed the critical one for you.

This is not a privacy failure. You still have something referencing your old address as “home”. You just have not found it yet. It is probably being mirrored through from your iPhone to the Apple Watch so concentrate the search in your iPhone.

I finally found the last stuck marker while looking in Maps, and only at some high zoom levels a little red pin appeared at my old address. If I remember correctly it only showed in some of the map modes, but I don’t remember if it was driving, explore, photo.

I also remember having something of a battle with items like addresses for card billing, Amazon delivery. They just didn’t want to go away even a year after I moved home. I deleted all the old traces I could find for Amazon and when I placed a new order the old address was still offered.

The only other wild guess is to try turning off Apple Intelligence to see if it makes a difference. I remember seeing a suggestion for a mail recipient address because AI had found it in incoming emails or something equally annoying.

Tried it all.

It's a pin. Though no way to remove it. Found out what it was while turning POIs off and on one by one in watch face.

On coordinates it shows there is no pin there. I am assuming it's a bug in Maps app.

In my book it is a privacy issue since I am not able to manage my location data.

All my cards have been changed since new address. The address is 5 years old by now. Phone is new, Watch is new. No way to manage the pin. The permanent home lol...
