I’ve just installed IOS26 on my iPad 11 Pro. All good except that when I try to move icons around it freezes up completely (even the power and volume buttons stop working). After a few minutes it reverts to the lock screen. Reboot hasn’t helped.
is anyone else having this same issue?

If your iPad is not operating as expected, try a forced-restart - as this will often clear an isolated or post-update software issue. If you haven't already done so since updating to iPadOS 26, your iPad will almost certainly behave differently having performed the restart:

If the problem persists after performing the restart, it may be necessary to reset your iPad settings. While this reset will not cause any loss of data, as a precaution, it is always wise to ensure that you have a current iCloud or iTunes backup before performing the reset:

When you are happy to proceed, you can perform the reset from iPad settings:
Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPad > Reset > Reset All Settings

Thank you Mr. Grinch! Not sure how you figured this out, but this is absolutely the solution! Well done! Then you can change the refresh rate back after and they stay in the place that you set.
I didn’t. “Charly_93” posted that he had luck with it above, but his post didn’t get much attribuez. It seems to work.
