iOS 26 Cellular doesn't work after update

Hello,

I updated my iPhone 14 Pro to iOS 26 today, and I've noticed that cellular service is not working at all.

When the phone booted after the update, it didn't ask for the SIM PIN code.

I also went to Settings > Mobile Service > SIM PIN and tried to disable the PIN, but when I tried to tap on Change PIN, nothing happens.

Additionaly, my phone number no longer appears in the mobile service section.

Also, when I open SIM Applications, I can see my carriers services listed, but when I tap on them, nothing happens.

I have already tried:

- Restarting the device

- Reinserting the SIM card

- Checking for carrier settings updates

Is anyone else experiencing this? Any solutions?

Guys i may have found the solution for this problem , you need to turn lockdown mode off , you can check it via - privacy and security, lockdown mode

Lockdown mode is "designed for the very few individuals who, because of who they are or what they do, might be personally targeted by some of the most sophisticated digital threats. Most people are never targeted by attacks of this nature."

If you have it on and you don't fit into that category, you should definitely turn it off.

So drove 50 miles each way to an Apple authorised repairer. Was told my UK 14 Pro Max has a USA 5g modem fitted to so probably a US spec phone. So EU region 26 update hasn’t talked to modem properly. Found a file to downgrade to 18.6.2 but was immediately forced to upgrade to 26 again as part of the install process so I’m back to square one. I’m taking it up with the retailer and in the meantime have ordered a replacement! I love it that Apple just works 😟😟😟

Exactly the same with me on 14 Pro Max I tried all the usual suggestions and the actions you mention Apple did a remote diagnostic and said ‘it shows there's an issue with the cellular components of the device so in this case we'll continue with a service option to get your iPhone working properly as soon as possible’. I’m not convinced that I’m not going to have a 100 mile round trip wasted looking at hardware when it’s an update issue. Debating a factory reset via a Mac

I noticed this issue with cellular (sim) loss since beta. I’m surprised it’s unresolved even after official release. So better apple!

so yes, solution, switch your physical sim to the 2nd tray. If you only have one tray, do the rollback to 18. You can find info on YT. If you’re exclusively eSIM, I wish you all the best.

does this mean I lost the ability to use 2 sim? Maybe. I don’t have a 2nd sim to try.

i wld hv stayed on 18, but my watch is 26, and no option to roll back.

None of the Ts provided has worked for me so far. Ive done:

  1. Airplane mode
  2. Reset the settings
  3. Clean slate phone without backup
  4. Clean slate with backup
  5. Single tray sim so i cant change slots
  6. Tray wont fit so I cant flip it
  7. Downgraded to ios18 (worked there) but got upgraded back (no longer worked)

Apple support told me it was a hardware issue in the diagnostics TWICE and on the third time finally told me they are aware of the issue.

I downgraded to ios18.7 and the SIM card is recognizable again. The problem is not with the hardware. Only problem with my own downgrade was I lost everything on my WhatsApp because it required a key code to restore my backups which I never remembered creating.

If you used an IPSW from the internet you will have many more problems with that jailbreak iOS.

I also have the iPhone 14 Pro Max and after Tuesday’s installation, nothing works was on the phone with Verizon and then Apple for almost 3 hours on Wednesday and still have no issue after doing tons of resets, including the SIM and network settings. Try to follow the suggestion here, but I don’t have any duplicate eSIM‘s to move up and down wondering if anyone else has found a solution since I still cannot make any calls get any text messages view emails or check my calendar.
