Removing an APP from the iPad/iPhone and from the Cloud.

I made a typo with my Apple ID when I received my new iPad 10.5. Therefore, the apps that I downloaded cannot be updated because I don’t remember the password for that ID. I’ve found that I can delete most of those apps from the Desktop, and then download them from the App Store, thus giving them my correct ID and Password. However, some apps stay in the cloud, so that when I go to the App Store, it is not a fresh download, it has the cloud icon. How can I completely delete an app so that the cloud download icon isn’t there, and the iPad has no memory of my having had that app?
