Buying a IPhone Abroad and concerned about the different network bandwidths

I live in the UK and I’m going on holidays to Canada, whilst I’m in Canada the IPhone 17 Pro will become available to buy and I would like to buy it whilst in Canada. Aside from only being available in the ESIM only variant is there anything else I should be concerned about?

I have done some reading around the network bands being different but I’m not entirely sure to be honest. Any help would be appreciated!

One concern is that the iPhone warranty is only valid in the country where purchased. Apple may well refuse to service the iPhone outside the country where purchased.

The iPhone 17 Pro model sold in Canada (A3522) differs from the Great Britain model (A3523). Do not purchase this iPhone outside your country of residence.

You should be concerned that there is no "international" warranty on an iPhone, and that service (and parts) may not be available for a different model of iPhone that is not sold in the U.K.

This fact has always been the case, so the best advice is always to buy a phone in the country in which you will be using it most of the time.

Contact an authorized Apple Service Center in your area and ask them whether they will perform warranty service on an iPhone purchased in Canada. If yes, ask for confirmation in writing.

All too often, we hear from users who have purchased a phone in XYZ country and they find out that they will have to ship the phone back to an authorized servicer in XYZ country to obtain warranty service.
