Downloaded Apple Music playlist won’t play - songs jump to another track and freeze at 0:00

I’m having a playback issue with Apple Music on my Mac. I’ve downloaded one of my playlists for offline listening, but whenever I tap any song in that playlist, the player randomly switches to another song from the same playlist and then gets stuck at 0:00. The seek bar doesn’t move and nothing plays. This happens even though the tracks show as downloaded.
