My iPhone serial number shows invalid purchase date

I bought a new phone and when I enter the serial number on the official website it says Purchase Date Not Validated, and at the top it says that this is not an iPhone 16 Pro Max, but an iPhone 16. I don’t understand if this is normal or a bad sign?

A new phone purchased from an authorized reseller should get its purchase updated within a few days after purchase, at most.

Online store like amazon, but another.

I would suggest you return the iPhone. It appears it won't have warranty support and may have either been a stolen iPhone or one tampered with. The thing with large online stores like Amazon is they have the Official Apple Store, Amazon's Refurbished Store, but then there's also unauthorized sellers.
