Use a flash drive that has the old USB-A connector and format it as exFAT, MBR (Master Boot Record) partition scheme via /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.app.
Make sure you use some universal document format the doctor should be able to read like .txt .pdf, .docx, .xlsx, .jpg, .png, .tif.
Any flash drive that has the same connector as your Mac.
Make sure the first time you connect the drive to your computer you use disk utility to format the drive.
