work out splits not announced when music is playing

I used to get start bleeps, split times announced with music playing and now I don't. I have RESET iphone, RESET watch. Have deleted and reinstalled music, have "forget device" for airpod's and installed only to iwatch.....wasting a lot of time and effort for nothing. Called support twice and spent hours with no fix. VERY DISAPOINTED.

Is there any help out there with this? apple support, have tried, but have no idea....and as for Geek bar, I knew more than they did!
