Recovering missing iCloud files after moving them to another cloud storage

Hello everyone,

I recently migrated my files from iCloud to another cloud storage option (OneDrive), and unfortunately, many files have gone missing during the process. These files were stored exclusively in iCloud (not downloaded locally) and were visible in my iCloud folder just yesterday. I did not delete them, only moved them out of iCloud, so they are not in my “Recently Deleted” folder.

I assumed that moving them would preserve their integrity, but was wrong. I used the standard drag-and-drop method to transfer them.

I don't suspect that anything went wrong with iCloud - I am simply trying to recover them any way I can. And they were in my iCloud folder 24 hours ago, so I am hoping they may be recoverable.

Is there a way to recover files that were stored only in iCloud and disappeared after being moved - whether through iCloud recovery options or contacting Apple Support directly.
