I have a 935 MB WhatsApp backup in iCloud, but I forgot the end-to-end encryption password. WhatsApp support suggested Apple might help access the backup. This data includes critical financial and academic information. My phone number has been mine for 20 years. I’ve used WhatsApp on this number and my iPhone 6s for 10 years. Please help! How can I solve this problem?

If you have forgotten your Apple Account password, visit Iforgot.apple.com. If you do not know your WhatsApp password, try WhatsApp.com. If you have a separate encrypted password, those are usually only maintained by the end user and cannot be reset or recovered. However, it sounds like your issue is with WhatsApp, so you’ll need to contact them. Please know that WhatsApp software is notoriously buggy and half baked.
That’s a question for WhatsApp, not Apple. Best guess is that you’ll need your password or you’ll be unable to restore your encrypted data.
Are you telling me there’s no way these two giant companies can help me if I forget my passwords?!!
