[Meta] How can I reopen closed posts in the Apple Support Community?

I recently came across a post on the Support Community that was closed but unanswered. The specifics of the post are not important to my question, since I'm asking about the general procedure of reopening posts. However, the post was about removing the Notification Center popup How to get RID of Notifications widgets i… - Apple Community and no answers included removing the upper right Hot Corner by setting it to the null "—" option, which is what the user wanted.

For forum posts that are closed but lacking an answer, is the intended procedure individually contacting a moderator? Is it re-asking and answering my own post with the same question?

There isn't one; the person who asked may have solved it themselves or lost interest. If they or someone else creates a new thread on the subject, post to that.
