Apple TV not importing files

I migrated to a Mac Studio M2 Ultra running Sequoia, Music App and TV app Libraries are on external Raid systems. All media play well, but since the migration I am unable to import any video files into TV App Library as it just crashes the App when it tries to import into the Library.

Drag & Drop a file into the TV App does NOT give the green cursor anymore. I'm logged in, Home Sharing is on and works as it should...

Music App DOES allow import and works fine. So I decided to give them separate Libraries as previous they shared the same folder. Permissions are same on both Library folders. This plays media fine, even on Home Sharing streaming from an Apple TV HD.

The only thing I cannot figure out is why the Apple TV App won't let me import files to the Library anymore.

Need serious help on this import issue.

Sounds annoying. Since Music imports fine but TV app crashes, it might be a permissions or indexing thing with the TV app’s library on your external RAID. Check that the folder is fully writable and maybe try making a new TV library on your local drive to see if importing works there. If it does, the issue’s probably with the RAID or how the TV app handles it. You could also try deleting the TV library to let the app rebuild it. Running First Aid on the RAID might help too.

created a library on local drive, TV App still crashes on import of a file.

RAID and folder has all permissions in order. Fully writable. Tried all suggestions..

It's definitely to with Libraries. Previous Libraries seem to be different from the new one that TV App is creating.

Now Library is empty while files are there, but can't add as the whole thing crashes on import.

TV App is now rendered useless for local files.

Still having issues with this.

Have been using Southpole Software's iVI Pro for years which seems to have dried up as all support has gone..

On import TV App returns to iVI Pro : 'Failed with error: iTunes Import Failed : TV got an error: Connection is invalid."

Now importing manually using the TV App menu option "import" crashes the TV app, though gets physical file stored in Library Folder but the episode is just not showing up in the App... As the app crashes just before it writes the addition into the TV App dBase I presume...

Anyone have any ideas as this goes a bit above my Mac preference and permissions knowledge.

Would like to be able to edit the TV Library to correct these errors..
