Photos in Album and Recently Saved but not in Library

I moved about 200 pictures from a shared google drive into an album in my Photos app, on my Mac (Sequoia 15.6.1) . The reason that I copied them straight into an Album is that they are all of a single event and I wanted to see them as a slide show. I see the same pictures in the Recently Saved, but I was surprised when I noticed that the same pictures are not showing in my Library. I have tried some of the suggestions that I've seen on other threads. I made sure that the library is set to show "All items", I right clicked on one of the pics in the Recently Salved and "Show in All Photos" is greyed out.

When I try to sync my Lybrary, it shows that there are 204 pictures to be synced, but it has been stuck on sync for hours and with no progress.

Wow-- I've never seen that!

I'm pleased to say that I have not used Google Photos or a Google Drive. But I wonder what you mean by the above statement. If you just tried to drag them over, there's no guarantee what you got. It's entirely possible that all you got was thumbnail images, and there were no actual pictures transferred. Did you try using File>Import in Photos? Or whatever method Google suggests?

I'd try "moving" the pictures to a folder on the Desktop (or wherever) and, if that worked, use File>Import to import them to Photos.

Let us know how it goes…
