i have a very old mac book laptop, I can't get into it and it's linked to a very old uni email which isn't in use. How can I get in? I'd be happy for everything to be wiped if necessary.

how old you do not say...(?) "old MacBook" you can simply remove the HDD/SSD if that is your concern; and destroy the drive.
