Apple Intelligence call recording transcription quits midway, unable to restart

Each week I have an hour-long phone call and I record it using Apple Intelligence's new call recordings feature. When the call is done, I use the built-in transcription feature.

About 1 out of every 5 times, the transcription process will complete while having only processed a portion of the recording. Eg, the call is 60 minutes and it transcribes the first 5 minutes.

There is no way to resume the transcription process, or to clear out the bunk transcript and restart the process.

I have to painfully export the audio, import it into a 3rd party tool like Otter, and manually align speakers to the transcript.

Apple may not have the ability to create a frontier AI model, but they should be able to perform routine utility services like this without frequent catastrophic failure. I'm on a new iPhone 16 Pro purchased specifically for this Apple Intelligence feature.
