Apple Watch Series 10 Not Detecting Gym Equipment

It's been working for the last few months until last week. I don't know what happened but my watch no longer connects/detects the NFC on the True Fitness treadmills or other machines at my apartment gym. They never update their things so I doubt it's a machine issue. I've tried resetting the machines, my phone, my watch, I even toggled the Detect Gym Equipment button in the app and have no luck. Super frustrating but has anyone found a fix to this? Sometimes I'll get lucky and it'll ask 'Start Indoor Walk or Indoor Run' after I tap it on the machine but when I go to choose the option it just goes back to the home screen.
