Hi! I hope I can find some help on here. My mac is deleting things off my desktop without my permission. This happened on friday I think, all of my desktop was all of a sudden clear - all my things were gone. I cannot find them in the trash and I cant find them when I search for them in finder. Can anyone help me?
FYI: Your Mac is not actively deleting things without your permission. It is not self aware and does not have the ability to take independent action.
Are you using desktop and documents in iCloud?
Have you exhausted the amount of iCloud storage you have?
Can you click on your desktop, will your files appear?
if not you might want to take a look in your Time Machine backup if you have that one

They dont appear. I dont think I have time machine backup as I have never gotten it to work (I dont understand how it works)
