‘others’ file in messages taking up data but nothing to delete

Hi all,

In the ‘other’ file in messages it says it’s taking up 1gb of storage however when i go into it there is nothing to delete. Does anyone know how to fix this or why it’s happening? Could it possibly be links people have sent me over the years?Thanks in advance
