[Edited by Moderator]

Original Title: What to do of my MacBook Pro M2 13 inch with AC+. I was charged a pretty high price for a display in AASP (Apple Authorised service provider). Here are the images. Will I get a new computer for Rs. 26000 or suffer with the damage.

I see the vertical line on the right side on the 2nd picture.

Unfortunately all of the other pictures are not clear enough or large enough to make any assessment on the condition of the laptop.

If you are trying to say there are no signs of accidental damage, then that is something you need to discuss with the Apple Store or AASP manager. However, I do notice some potential gouges in the metal in some of the photos.....like I said, I cannot see them clearly enough to make any assessment. Besides, Apple always has the final say in whether something will be covered. I guess you could contact Apple support online, or even Apple Corporate if you feel the Apple Store or AASP manager is assessing the laptop incorrectly. I do know some people will treat any blemish as accidental damage.

AppleCare PLUS is a program that covers MOST, not all of the cost of a repair. You are still required to pay a co-payment, around US$100 per screen replacement, and you are limited to a certain number of replacements in a certain period of time..

In the US, that co-payment is about US$100, very similar to the Rs 9000 you mentioned.

Because you paid for AppleCare PLUS, you have NOT been charged the full retail cost of the repair. The full retail cost of a 13-in screen replacement, if you had to pay it all, is over US$500, or more than 44,000 Rs.

A screen replacement comes with a repair warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for a limited time. In the US, that period is 90 days.

I do not see defects on your screen from the pictures you posted. The pictures of the outside of your computer are not relevant to this discussion unless it has serious additional damage, which is also not evident from your pictures. If you meant to illustrate some damage, you would need to take larger pictures and explain what you see as damage.
