Recovering contact information from locked iPhone SE (2020) without factory reset

Too late now, but rather than taking the phone with you, it would have been a better idea to turn the phone in to the bus driver.

Stop messing with the phone and take it to the bus business headquarters and turn it in to the main office.....since the owner has surely already been calling the bus company asking if someone found a phone and turned it in.

If the owner places a message on the screen, follow it.

However … return it to the bus company !!!!

(You could - and should - have easily given it to the bus driver)

Tell them on which bus and the date/time you found it.

That’s why you should have given it to the driver.

Regardless, return it to the Bus Company unless instructions from the owner appear on the lock screen.

Neither we nor Apple can help you track-down the owner.
