M1 Macbook Pro not turning on

Hi there,

after returning from a vaction, my m1 mbp will not turn on. My charger was (magsafe) was removed from the device while I was away, and i'm assuming has died of charge. However, when plugging the magsafe charger back in there are no lights (green, or oragne) indicating any action. The charger works on another M1 MBP so i know it's not the charger.

Any clues on what's what here?

The lights on the MagSafe are lighted by commands from the computer, so if your computer is not fully powering up, those lights can not be lit.

However, trickle-charging at the 5 Volts level DOES proceed, even if nothing lights up. it is just really slow.

Connect the power adapter and leave it connected, at least overnight. If/when the power level gets high enough, the Mac can initiate a regular charge cycle and begin to change much more rapidly.
