iPhone 15 Pro Max camera screen too dark before taking photos

I tried to see if I could duplicate what you see on my iPhone and I couldn't. I'd try a Forced Restart on your phone --> Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

No, that's not the case at all. I've attached a photo below. What could be the problem? As you can see, the brightness level is not displayed in the screenshot. I only have a 16 pro max
