How to fix VoiceOver & Google Docs bug on my iPad?

It seems to be a google docs app issue, Voiceover was working fine on my iphone and ipad with it until I updated to the latest version. There is also a bug where the cursor isn’t working properly, as in you aren’t entering or deleting things where they should normally be when selected by Voiceover. Sent them an email about it a month ago, no response or attempt to fix it in subsequent updates.

Google Docs is not an Apple product; you need to contact Google Support.

And do you mean VoiceOver, or text to speech? VoiceOver is for navigating controls; it does not read back text.

Voiceover is text to speech, it functions as navigation as well. You can confirm this by toggling it on in settings>accessibility, just be aware you’ll need to double tap the toggle switch to turn it off. I know you’re probably not blind like myself or OP, just wanted to clear up the confusion for non-screen reader users.

Voiceover uses text to speech but it is not the same thing as say, Speak Screen or Speak Selection or Accessibility Reader. You can use, for example, Speack Screen without having VoiceOver enabled. While they use some of the same underlying technology, they are different features.
