How do I update my Mac mini from macOS 12.7.6. to 13 and higher?

Hi, I'm having a problem updating my MiniMac from 12.7.6. to 13 and higher. MiniMac is connected to the LG screen. It wasn't a problem before; it always updated itself automatically, but now there's nothing. Without the newer version, I'm unable to use Microsoft Teams and other tool apps. Does anyone have suggestions, please? I'd really appreciate it.

I'm not sure if its the 2020 version

If your Mac mini is a 2018 model or newer, macOS 13 is available.

The Mac mini M1 shown in the footer can run the current macOS 15.

You'll need to identify your Mac Mini's exact model year. You can go to the Apple Menu ➜ About this Mac to get the model year for it.

The M1 (2020) Mac mini would be compatible with the current macOS 15 Sequoia.

If Software Update says there's no updates for your computer, it means your current main macOS versions is up to date, but if you missed updates, it won't tell you if there's another major version available for it.

You need at least a 2018 or later Mac mini for macOS Ventura or later.
