Is my iMac 21.5 using Ventura 13.7.8 as its OS now closed to any upgrades to its OS?

TurboTax has announced that it will no longer provide any support for its SW on a product using the OS that my iMac is using. Thanks to this group, I upgraded my HD from the mechanical unit that came with this unit to an SSD drive so it now performs the way I expected it to. (I owe a debt of gratitude to this group for that).


I suspect that, if TurboTax has officially said this that other SW providers will soon do the same. I also suspect that this implies that my iMac and its OS has basically reached EOL status. Can someone be more definitive about that and take me beyond suspicion and into facts?

Here is how to: Update macOS on Mac - Apple Support


An upgrade to macOS 14 requires an iMac 2019 or newer.


To identify which model and model year, use the Apple menu > About This Mac.

If you're thinking of upgrading your Mac to a new one consider the following: a 10 Core Mac Mini M4 with 16 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD ($999 + tax) with a 27" LG 4k monitor ($250 + tax from Amazon.com)  is $1249 + tax which is $560 less than a similarly configured new 24" iMac ($1799 + tax)  re 07/2025. Keep your keyboard and mouse from your current Mac for use with the Mini.  You can use the keyboard and mouse from your current Mac with the Mini.


I got the above Mini with a 32" LG 4K monitor w/speakers for only $60 more than the 27" (didn't know the Mini had a speaker).


The Mini M4 is an excellent money saving option.
