Confirmation code on old iPhone during Gmail setup on my iPhone 14 Pro

So I just got an iPhone 14 Pro and when I am trying to set up my gmail account, they ask me for a confirmstion code from my old iPhone (an iPhone 13 that I have no more access to). The problem îs that the old iPhone is no longer in the devices list from the settings, but they think that I still have access to it, or something.

Is the confirmation code for your Gmail or for your Apple account because if it’s for your Apple account you can there’s an option for it to text or call your phone number with a verification code if it’s for your Gmail I have no idea

So basically it says to open the gmail application on my old phone and confirm that I am trying to log in from a new device (my new iPhone). But i gave the old iPhone to my brother and he did set up the iPhone with his Apple credentials, so cannot confirm on my old phone because I do not have my gmail account there anymore

Try going out of computer and looking at your Google account you might be able to change that and make it require some other type of confirmation code for something else. There might also be a button that says I can’t access that device right now. I’m not sure though.

So it's for gmail.

Usually, there is a try another way button and if you click that you might see some other options, but I’m not sure if I’ll be useful to you right now
