I’m sure it’s on purpose I just wanted to say that is next-level petty lol but if I have type Gmail.com out every time I might just have to download the Gmail app :( is there a hidden option anywhere to force Safari to auto complete Gmail.com when I press g? Thanks

The web address is really https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#inbox. If you use this address, starting to type “mail” will show you the full address.
FYI if you were to manually type in gmail.com it resolves to https://workspace.google.com/intl/en-US/gmail/ anyway. In other words what you seek (typing a G and expecting it to autocomplete) would not be expected behavior.
typing g to get to Gmail had worked for years. Manual typing it in does not work.
