I’ve started migration assistant last evening from my old mac to my new one. Before going to bed I’ve noticed that it was stuck at 387,368 elaborated elements. It ran overnight but that number hasn’t change. Is it normal?

Stalled Migration Assistant:
Force Quit... is found in the Apple menu. So, click on it, and see if something ands with “(Not Responding)”. If such is the case, then that would be getting in the way here. So, select it, and then click Force Quit... button. I would Force Quit all applications and then see if Migration Assistant continues through.
Also, be sure to relaunch Finder, by selecting it in Force Quit... and then clicking the Relaunch button. It would sync items on the Desktop, revealing what should be shown, and ridding of what has already removed from it.
Wait it Out. It is transfer, sure enough.
Are you transferring via WiFi? An interrupted network connection can stall the process. I far prefer to set up a new Mac from a current Time Machine backup of the old one, ideally on an SSD. Fast, and not subject to the vagaries of WiFi connections.
