Apple Watch 11.6.1 completely broke Volume Control on my Apple Watch.

Recently updated my watch to 11.6.1 as prompted and have run into a continuous issue since then- Volume control is completely irrelevant. My watch has been outputting sound & notifications at maximum volume, regardless what the slider is set to,- even if fully dropped to 0% and showing the mute icon.

I have reset my watch & iPhone, both by sliding and by hard resetting via both buttons. I have also re-paired my device to no working solution. This sucks.

In case you have Beta watchOS software installed, you will have to wait for the official release of watchOS 26.

Unlike on an iOS device or Mac, a Beta watchOS can not be downgraded anymore, one downside of using Beta software.

To use a previously-released version of iOS, iPadOS, or macOS, you can restore your device from the backup that you created before installing the beta. Please note Apple Watch cannot be restored to previously-released OS versions once the beta is installed.
