recently, i wanted to backup my iphone (because apple suggested me to) but my iphone can’t be backed up. apparently i used 8.7 gb of my icloud but i need 11gb+ to backup, where do i get that 11gb? by emptying my icloud. now how do i empty my icloud? do i turn off my app backups?

Buy more space in iCloud. You clearly have used the space which was given to you and you need more space. For $1/month, you can increase your iCloud Storage to 50GB --> Buy iCloud+ or upgrade your current storage plan - Apple Support
