Date of launch for MacBook Pro

Per the MacTracker database the first was in February 2006:

Had an Intel Core Duo processor running at 1.83, 2.0, or 2.16 ghz.

Note the silver keys in the image, characteristic of the first Macbook Pros.

Looks like 2008 for the current line of MBPs, although Wikipedia does cite a model in 2006.
