Can't access voice memos on a Time Machine backup

I used Apple's Voice Memos app to record something for work, but I forgot to transcribe the recording, and now I'm at a different location and can't access that same machine. I have a Time Machine backup of that machine with me, but I can't find its voice recordings. How can I get to the Voice Memo recordings stored in Time Machine?

I've tried a couple different systems and none of them work. "Show View Options" in the finder doesn't seem to offer the option to show the Library anymore. I found an earlier thread on this same question that suggested this:

Finder>GO>Go To Folder copy and paste:

~/Library/Group Containers/group.com.apple.VoiceMemos.shared

But every time I try to do that I get routed to the Library folder on the laptop I'm using, which is not where the recordings are — it won't find it in the Time Machine backup on the external hard drive.

Any other suggestions? Thanks.

Open your home folder on the backup drive and remove the ~/ at the beginning of the path.
