Move ring adjusting down during activity on Apple Watch 10

I’ve just upgraded my Watch from a 6 to a 10 and now when recording activity the Move ring keeps adjusting down. It even acknowledges the target has been reached, for example shows at 850 during exercise then sometime later it will only be showing 450. This never happened on old watch and the readings don’t necessarily represent the heavy output days compared to low output ones.

Your Move ring shouldn’t go backwards — that’s a bug. Since you just upgraded, it’s most likely a sync glitch between your new Watch and iPhone. Update both to the latest iOS/watchOS, restart, then unpair and re-pair the Watch. If it still happens, reset fitness calibration data in the Watch app (Privacy > Reset Fitness Calibration Data). If none of that fixes it, it’s likely a watchOS 11 bug and worth reporting to Apple.

Hi - unfortunately the first help was unsuccessful, it happened again today! So have tried your advice. I couldn’t tell if my new or previous watch was top of the list. And as I killed my 6 on holiday last week I sort of assume the list contained my new 10 watch. However my Find My app had it still listed, as did Watch app so I have now removed it. Fingers crossed… will update if this works. Many thanks.

Is your old watch still in the list of Data Sources, if you open the Health App on your iPhone, go to Activity and tap on Data Sources & Access?

Your new watch should be first in the list.
