Mac Studio Ethernet stuttering/disconnecting

Mac Studio M1, Mac13,1, model MJMV3LL/A

Sequoia 15.6.1

With wifi disabled and connected to a 2.5Gb ethernet switch - I get frequent (once every 10-15 secs), but short, network disconnections which disrupt VNC access, file copies, writing to NAS shares over SMB. This machine is in a network closet and is accessed exclusively remotely - when accessing it over IP KVM (connected to the same network switch), similar behavior does not occur.

Switching to a USB ethernet adapter solves the problem, but would much prefer to not have to use an external dongle.

would this not point to a IP KVM switch issue...? I would start there.

No. Connection to file copy to a Samba share does not go through the KVM, neither does VNC access (VNC is direct to host). VNC, samba shares and other network access is where I am seeing the intermittent connectivity.

KVM is a JetKVM, but again, this isn't the core of the issue - I have witnessed the same behavior when it was connected directly to a real display and keyboard that I was using, as well.
