Apple Watch band is stuck on one side so I can't remove it.

I have changed the band on my Apple Watch 8 a number of times with no problem but now, one side won't release when I push the tiny button. I've tried all the remedies I can find online to no avail--cleaning whatever I can reach, jiggling the band connection with button depressed, warm water, etc. Other suggestions? Watch is pretty much useless--I have to carry it around in my pocket and can't use any of the health functions.

Turn off your watch and remove its case. Press the band release button and gently wiggle or rock the band back and forth, applying the band removal force at a downward angle. If dirt is the issue, use an old toothbrush with warm, soapy water or a cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol or WD-40 to clean the band slots and release buttons, then try again. For stubborn cases, gently heat the band area with a hairdryer before attempting removal.

If this is not working, you might need to set up service for your broken watch band detach button
