How to bypass disabled passcode on an old iPhone 4?

i have an old Iphone i need to use but my friend forgot password the last try was disabled for 60 mins scared to try again. Any ideas? I have been helping her sort her iphone 15 because emails not syncing as Google seem to think she doesn't have Google a/c but she has been using her Gmail over 10 yrs it is a mess.

in meantime, she asked me to try her iphone 4 as i'm having UK sim issues so i am to use this iphone 4 and possibly see if gmail is on it. but it keeps getting disabled. After the 60 min disable what will happen?

i have also iphone SE older model but i can't use it. i got it from my dad a year or so ago to sell or give to charity but as soon as i got it to UK from Germany it mustve updated and that update killed it. i suppose i can go to Apple Store esp as i have old iPad 4 need to get rid of too.

To test my UK sim i have been using my iphone 3. i am using a German sim in iphone 13. so sick of Brexit if it isn't parcels being charged to OAPs its not being able to use phone abroad!!!

back to iphone 4 issue. any ideas? How do i avoid it getting disabled for days and Apple having to step in?

thank you all

Kim

i have 2 iPhone 3Gs. i am using as a backup alarm when i go to Germany. as I'm having UK Sim issues just thought i'd use. that's only because x2 people have sent me a link as in appointments but when i put sim in the 13 the text msg isn't there. no matter.... told them to msg German sim :)

iPhone 4 - my friends phone i will get her to wipe and i know she will have 'disabled' issue but we'll sort

iPhone SE - as the las update it had literally killed the phone not sure. it could be battery... i wanted to get it working so i could wipe.

iPad 4 - not sure.

don't let me mention Macbook Pro 17" - this is working fine. i also have an iBook turquoise - both working. i love them ::))

thank you both. so much appreciated

Apple Platform Security – Passcodes and passwords

I don't know if the table in this document is applicable to a phone as old as the iPhone 4.

If it is, a "Try again in 60 minutes" message means that you have already entered 7 incorrect passcodes and that you will only get three more tries at entering the correct passcode before you must reset and erase the iPhone to get back in.

If you blow the retries, the lockout will keep increasing, first to 3 hours, then to 8 hours, then to having to connect the phone to a computer to reset and erase it.
