Family Member Can't Rejoin Family Group

Our daughter turned 18 earlier a few weeks ago. I've been trying to remove the ask permission on App Store downloads. The "Ask to Buy" no longer seems to appear under her name in Family Sharing, but she still gets the permission prompt trying to download college apps, etc. I read to try removing and re-adding her to the Family Group. I removed her. Got notices of that. Then immediately sent an invite for her to re-join, but unfortunately it's not letting her. She clicks the invite and it says already in Family. She seems to still have access to the shared subscriptions for now (music and iCloud storage) but it does show she's lost Family calendar and maybe another one. My Family settings show her pending invite. Help! Do I just give it time to sync up? I hope I didn't mess up. My goal was just to remove the ask to download, not remove her access to our Family subscriptions.

Try giving the system time to update settings. Sometimes restarting devices helps with this.

Apple has a timer limitation on joining families so if she has done this recently she may have to wait it out. Refer to Set up Family Sharing - Apple Support

"If you can't accept the invitation

If you

can't accept the invitation, check if someone else joined a family with

your Apple Account. Remember, you can only join one family at a time,

and you can only switch to a different family group once per year."

If you need to, contact Apple. Refer to this page for Apple Support features ➔ Contact - Official Apple Support

Select from the presented options until you find a solution for your issue, or see if there is a chat or phone call contact method offered lower on the page (you sometimes have to narrow down the options multiple times before this is shown). If you do not see your issue, keep experimenting with any series of selections until you reach one that offers a chat session or a telephone call and get the representative to redirect you.
