Unable to launch downloaded apps on MacBook Air

Hi, I have been trying to download zoom and vlc media player from google. It all downloads fine but once I try to open any of the apps I've downloaded it pops up with an instalation failed notifications and if i press install again nothing happens.

I have a MacBook air m4 chip
