So about 5-6 months ago all of my Apple TV devices started rewinding 1-2 seconds randomly on every single streaming application. I have tried reformatting all my Apple TVs and resetting the remote connection nothing works. It would be one thing if 1 tv device did this but all three of my Apple TV devices are doing this. Does anyone have any ideas?

i see you said you’re not touching the remote to cause this. An Apple Watch or paired iPhone can also inadvertently touch the Now Playing. Something I’m often doing by accident myself.

Are you sure not inadvertently touching and pressing the left side of the touch surface or click pad? This will cause it to skip backwards

Is this occurring “multiple times during a single streaming session” …
… or “once every few days” …
… or somewhere in-between?
I am using the 2nd generation and later remote, and no I am not there are times where the remote is no where near me and it does and it happens with every single thing that we watch doesn’t matter what app is used it does this multiple times with every stream throughout the day everyday.

We’ll now pay more attention to the occasional glitchiness of our own AppleTVs.
Maybe there’s more of a correlation going-on than we’d surmised.
