Sequoia - Automator app doesn’t have permission to send keystrokes

An app I made through Automator in Sequoia 15.6.1 is giving me this error message when I try to run it:

The action “Run AppleScript” encountered an error: “System Events got an error: (my app name) is not allowed to send keystrokes.”

I have gone to System Settings, Privacy & Security, then Accessibility. I have made sure that Automator, Script Editor, and (my app name) all have permissions set to on / the button is blue. I still get this error message. I have also tried removing permissions for all 3, rebooting, adding permissions for all 3, and rebooting again. Regardless, I continue to get the aforementioned error message.

I’m at a loss here. Is this another known Sequoia bug which kills apps? Or is there some new thing we have to do above and beyond what we did in Sonoma to give apps permission to send keystrokes?

Secondly, if there is a quality and active forum/chat room where people help each other troubleshoot Automator actions, please share as I would be interested in joining it. Thank you!

This one doesn't need full disk access but thank you.

I conclusively determined the problem is that Accessibility considers an Automator app to be an entirely new app each time it's updated. As such, it must be removed and re-added to Accessibility each time you edit your app. Very frustrating and seems like a macOS bug but at least we know how to handle it now!

I previously explained in detail what happened and how to fix it but my post has disappeared for some reason.

Does your Automator/ Script editor need to be added to Full Disk Access...(?)
