iPad 64 GB out of storage even after deleting all photos and apps

How is it possible that after deleting apps and photos I have less storage on my iPad…65 GB. It it appears that half is taken up by OS and system data. Pretty frustrating

For the system data to be erased you might want to force restart your iPad

On your iPad without a home button

Press and quickly release the volume button closest to the top button.
Press and quickly release the volume button farthest from the top button.
Press and hold the top button until the device begins to restart.

On your iPad with a Home button

Press and hold both the Home button and the top button until you see the Apple logo.
